Before Wilde: Cinematic Portrayals - and the Lack Thereof - of Medieval and Early Modern Queer Figures
For Bright Lights Film Journal, I took a look at how American and British cinema present some famous queer figures from European history.
Taking a look at some representations of queers in history for The Outline, I argue that, no matter what some writers and showrunners say, the past is full of gays, lesbians, and bisexuals who recognized their own queerness.
